After 2010's Sly Collection, it appears the franchise is being revived for PlayStation Vita and PS3.

Sony Australia today announced that Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, a traditional Sly platforming adventure, will be the next in Sony's exploration of the Cross-Save functionality between Vita and PS3. Also mentioned is the integration of Vita's gyroscopic control system, as a way to 'tilt and steer [your] way through this enchanting journey'. Dual-analog controls are also accommodated for in this title.

The game will again revolve around Sly as he travels through time to save his ancestors from a yet unnamed threat. Players will not be limited to playing as Sly, however. A selection of playable characters is on offer, though no word yet on who. Sly's trusty sidekicks Murray and Bentley are said to make an appearance in the game as well.

The game is currently under development by Sanzaru Games, who also handled the Sly Collection. 

In case you haven't heard, GAME Australia, the chain of videogame stores, went into administration yesterday. This administration means that stores are not getting copies of Diablo III in. Not only that, but if you had pre-ordered Diablo III prior to this happening, you are not going to get a refund from your deposit (including if you have already paid off your order prior to the game coming out). This leaves a lot of pre-orderers effectively out of some money.

The good news? Blizzard Australia heard about the situation, and have decided to help players that pre-ordered today's action-RPG from GAME Australia.

Posting on their official forums, Blizzard have told gamers affected by the GAME situation to purchase Diablo III from the official site any time before the 21st of May, and then submit their GAME Australia pre-order receipt to Blizzard before the 30th of June. The company will then credit the amount you paid to GAME Australia via the payment method you used to pre-order the game.

Blizzard will post more on how to submit receipts soon, and we'll update the story when more comes to light.

Diablo III comes out today in Australia and servers for the game will open up at approximately 5pm AEDT.

Titled Ghost Recon Alpha, Ubisoft seems to be setting the bar high with this 25-minute live action film that includes a talented group of industry vets taking the reins of our Ghosts.  

The short very much ties into the game, showcasing the four main characters from the game whilst taking place within a crucial part of the game before a major attack on a city.

To top it off, the location of the film will actually be part of one of the multiplayer maps in the adversarial mode in the game, as well as include a secret code hidden within to unlock an exclusive weapon for the game.  As if you needed any more reasons to watch, right?

Ghost Recon Alpha is available to watch on Uplay right now and will also be included in the collector's edition of the game along with additional making of content.

Bethesda Softworks' anticipated new title, Dishonored, has finally gotten a release date for later this year.  The game will be available October 9th in North America, followed by Australia and New Zealand two days later on October 11th.

The supernatural and steampunk-inspired adventure game will have you playing as Corvo, a wrongly accused fugitive blamed for the murder of the Empress he swore to protect.  As an assassin you'll get to use both technology and supernatural abilities to take down enemies from the shadows or in clear view.  Many of the choices you make will affect the outcome of every mission, making each play through a unique one.  

Taking place in a lush world of technology and shadowy forces, there will be plenty of creative ways to defeat your foes.

We'll have more word on how it fares come June at E3.

Ubisoft and Marvel Entertainment today announced Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth for Kinect on Xbox 360 and Wii U. Also, given that the release date set for this Spring, this may means that the Wii U may be out before the tentative holiday season release Nintendo have set. It's also very possible that the game will release on Xbox 360 this Spring, with the Wii U release coming out when the console launches.

The game is to be developed by Ubisoft Quebec, co-developers of both Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Revelations. The story is said to be inspired by 'iconic Marvel comic artwork and the Secret Invasion storyline', and will feature prominently Avengers such as Iron Man, Hulk,, Captain America and Thor, as well as 20 other characters from the Marvel Universe.

Ubisoft has stated that the game will implement motion controls, but no details were available regarding any differences between the Kinect and Wii U iterations of the game.

It's been 20 years since id Software brought the world's first FPS, Wolfenstein 3D.  

To celebrate their anniversary, id revealed that they are releasing a free browser version of their seminal first-person shooter directly at the official Wolfenstein game site on Bethesda's site.
