EA and Maxis to bring SimCity to Mac and a new trailer.

EA and Maxis recently revealed more details on next year's simulation title, SimCity, at Gamescom. Namely, a Mac version is coming and the opening of sign-ups to a closed beta of the title.
The first announcement was that of a Mac launch for the title. The game will indeed be launching on Apple's platform, on EA's new Origin for Mac client, which was also announced during the trade show.
Secondly, a closed-beta is now ready for sign-ups, and those interested in giving this title a shot can head over here to sign up.
A new trailer for the game was also shown, which shows off SimCity World, a new social way to play the simulation game. It'll allow SimCity players the world over to connect through leaderboards and challenges, a global market which allows players to buy and sell items, and a new social initiative called CityLog which seems to be keeping in line with EA's "log" line of social ways for players to play its games (Battlelog, Autolog, etc.) You can find this trailer below:
