Nintendo of Australia has got the scoop on the Australian release of upcoming New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS.

Nintendo of Australia has confirmed today that following the reveal of info at E3 last week, New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be heading to Aussie stores on the 18th of August in Australia and New Zealand.

It'll also, as announced at E3, be released both in-store and digitally as a download via the Nintendo eShop.

This coin-grabbing sequel to the best-selling DS New Super Mario Bros. title comes together with 3D and StreetPass functionality in just over a couple of months.
