Capcom announces game modes, maps and "more" for RE6.

Capcom today announced that post-launch downloadable content is set to come to Resident Evil 6.

Planned content includes three modes which will add to the multiplayer offering of the title.

Survivors Mode is the first and takes versus modes and adds a twist. When you die you'll respawn as an enemy character with the ability to attack the humans you once walked alongside. Once you kill two humans you'll "resurrect" as a human. When either a team or player is left standing the game will end.

Predator Mode is the next and allows players to take on human players as one player is picked to be Ustanak, the B.O.W. that is following Jake Muller in the single-player story. The aim is for the humans to take down Ustanak or at least survive until the end of the game.

Finally, there's Siege Mode. Siege Mode will see players protecting a non-playable character. The other team will have to make it their life's worth to seek and destroy that NPC. If the NPC survives when the timer strikes zero, the human team wins.

Players will be able to track their playing of the new modes through Resident Evil.Net, the new service that Capcom recently annoounced for Resident Evil 6 which is launching alongside the release of the game.

Capcom also mentioned that further DLC is also planned, including new maps for Mercenaries Mode, which can in turn also be used in the aforementioned modes. The company also mentioned other items "yet to be announced".
